 | | Boulder, U.S.A. I arrived in the US mid-June and will have a couple of races whilst here. But my main reason to be here is to train at altitude and prepare to the second half of 2008.
After missing Olympic selection back in April, I have had time to reflect on what has been a great ITU career and will now shift my focus to non-drafting races. I am extremely proud of what I acheived at ITU level, but to keep my interest high, I needed a new focus. The non-drafting style of races has given me a new exctiement for the sport.
I will need to focus more on my cycling to be competitve at these races, so I have chosen a few olympic distance races in July to see what improvements I need to make.
I am currently training in Boulder, Colorado. The altitude of Boulder (1600m) will give me an added boost heading into the latter part of the racing year. With limited racing so far this year, I'm looking at finishing of the remainder of 2008 in style.
Hope your all training well and keeping healthy.
Cheers,
Robbo
